It's been 6 years since I started working as an SES for a common SME. Self-taught the basics of C ++ at a game-related vocational school. I got a job as a general-purpose machine operator, and I have been calling and emailing equipment errors for 4 years. Even though I was a programmer when I was transferred to the site, I had doubts about my own growth because it was developed in a C-like original language. After that, I changed jobs, and after all I developed VB.NET mainly for SES of small and medium-sized enterprises, and websites and POS for .NET. In addition to work, I continue to play with PHP, LINE BOT, machine learning, and so on.
Regarding qualifications, I have application information and Java SE8 silver.
Recently, I started learning with an interest in machine learning, so I thought I should take it if I had a qualification, and when I searched for it, there was something like "Python engineer certification basic exam", so I took the exam immediately. In addition, we are planning to take the "Python Engineer Certification Basic Exam" conducted by the same association and the "G Exam (Generalist Exam)" conducted by the Japan Deep Learning Association.
Apparently, the range of questions is clearly shown, and if you study for a week or two, you will be accepted. As a result, the pass rate is 70-80%, which seems to be a qualification to get it.
The range of questions is all in O'Reilly's "Python Tutorial 3rd Edition". Actually, you can read it on the Web for free. I'll put an Amazon link here, but I read the electronic version on my smartphone (since Python has important whitespace and line breaks, the source code was messed up).

I think it's the above two types of patterns. Is it the main thing to create a purpose and motivate it? If your work experience writing Python code is at a level where you can write in your resume, you may not need this qualification. On the contrary, I think that it is difficult for those who are completely inexperienced and want to start programming from the point of taking this exam. It should be called a programming term, or something like that is often used. Because it says "according to C language".
The exam questions seem to be given randomly, but to some extent, it seems that what kind of questions will be given and how many will be given. I knew it on the day of the exam, so I haven't investigated it in detail ... Probably, the appendix and the extra part of the tutorial were not given.
Among them, the main thing was about built-in functions. I think you need to understand how to use lists, dictionaries, and for statements, and what the arguments given to each function mean.
There will be a little talk about how to use the interpreter, external packages, and libraries, but the weight is not heavy, so if you read the tutorial once, you don't need to go deeper. Although the number is small, I was asked a few questions for the mock exam, so it may be better to do this.
Perhaps it was the most difficult to apply for the exam. Since the venue is only a small school in general, the site may not be cool or the application form may not be found in the first place. Although it is a CBT exam, you cannot take the exam the next day, so apply at least a week in advance on an easy-to-understand site.
After reading the tutorial once, I set the correct answer rate of the mock exam to 100% before taking the exam.
We recommend taking paid leave on Friday and booking an exam on Sunday evening. Read through the tutorial on Friday and Saturday. I think it's a good idea to take a quick look while remembering another lap and do the mock exams on the day of the exam many times on your smartphone. I'd say it's recommended, but most of the exams are taken like this, so I think that people who can do it steadily are amazing.
"In conclusion, experienced people can get the qualification in 3 days." is. I think it would be a big deal if you chose Python as your first programming language and got this qualification.
