I have taken the Python 3 Engineer Certification Basic Exam, so I will briefly record my impressions. I would like to write information that I personally wanted to know before taking the exam.

It's been 2 years since I joined a medium-sized company in Tokyo. I have experience in developing shell scripts, C and C #. I had never touched Python until half a year ago, but after hearing the information that it is a popular language (?), I took the exam. Also, at our company, if you pass this kind of test, you will get some pocket money from the company (I think there is).
In my work, I have only the experience of creating tools for internal use in Python in less than a month.
I will omit the reservation method because other people have written it carefully. Please note that the following is my case and may vary depending on the test site.

In my case, the reception time was from 14:15 to 14:25. I don't seem to be able to take the exam if I'm late, but I arrived 30 minutes ago, so I was completely patient. At around 14:15, I went to the reception and told my name and the reception was completed.
Mobile phones, watches and writing utensils are not allowed. I put my luggage in the locker, but I had a hard time packing it because I brought my PC and camera. Keep your luggage light.
Each person is taken to the seat where the PC is placed. When you sit down, enter your Odyssey ID and password to log in. When there is a signal, the test will start at each timing. Looking at the records of those who took the test, it was said that the answer was completed in 15 minutes or 20 minutes, but I completed the review in about 30 minutes. He was the very first exiter, including those who took other exams.
If you answer the questionnaire (8 questions) after completing the answers, the results will be displayed. It didn't seem to be possible to see which problem was wrong only by the score and pass / fail. I passed with 800/1000 points.
Looking at seniors who have taken the exam and this article, it says "It is enough to study in the mock exam" and "The exam questions are easy", but I have never used Python in business and even when coding It's not as easy as a person who asks Google teachers about grammar. Certainly, if the mock exam is 100%, I think that it will pass, but there are some problems at first sight, so I think that you can take the exam with more peace of mind if you actually code it.
The acquired qualification is the third qualification after the "Basic Information Technology Engineer Examination" and "Applied Information Technology Engineer Examination". I don't think there are many.
It is often said that "it is meaningless if the purpose of studying is to acquire a qualification", but I think that "the opportunity to study may be the acquisition of a qualification". I'm glad this time was an opportunity to learn Python.
Compared to basic information and applied information, it was much easier to get. I regret that I should have taken the exam earlier. This year, I'm going to make it a "qualification acquisition year".
