Introduction

Note on how to set DNS in Redhat environment

Environmental information

DNS settings

Enter the domain name and DNS server IP address in the configuration file

Configuration file: /etc/resolv.conf

search [domain name]
nameserver [IP address]

Restart NetworkManager

systemctl restart NetworkManager

Communication confirmation

Confirm that the IP address is resolved by the host name by setting the DNS server

ping [host name]
