Preparation

[Last post](https://qiita.com/remotte_jp/items/39278287097a7a25432d "I tried installing the IoT platform" Rimotte "") on Windows "[Rimotte Station](https://www. remotte.jp/ja/user_guide/station/install_station "Installing the station") "was installed. If the orange icon surrounded by the red frame below is displayed in the task tray, the preparation on the station side is okay. image.png If it is not displayed, open the Windows menu and click "Start and Stop Services" in the "Remotte Station" folder to start the service. image.png If it still does not appear, try clicking "Control Panel" displayed on the above screen.

Check your web browser

Limotte uses a peer-to-peer communication technology called WebRTC to connect a web browser and a station directly without going through a server, but due to the adult circumstances of each browser manufacturer, we support this technology. Some are present and some are not supported. When you open the User Guide on the Limotte website, the supported browser types are written, and at the moment it is as follows. .. Windows: Chrome (recommended), new Microsoft Edge (* 1), Firefox MacOS : Safari Linux: Chrome (recommended), Firefox Android: Chrome (recommended), Firefox iOS : Safari

Start the station

Click the icon in the task tray or click "Control Panel" in the "Remotte Station" folder in the Windows menu to display the "Remotte Control Panel". image.png Since "Unregistered station" is displayed in the upper left of the screen, first press the "Start" button at the top of the screen. Within a few seconds (or it may take tens of seconds depending on the old computer and the situation), the status of the station is [Stop] ---> [Startup] ---> [Initializing the execution environment] --- > [Running] is displayed and the button changes from "Start" to "Stop". image.png

Station registration

Next, click the "Administrative Tools" button at the top right of the screen to start the browser and start the station registration procedure. Be careful here! </ strong> As explained in the previous section "Checking your web browser", the screen below must be open in Chrome or Firefox. </ font> image.png If it is open in a browser other than these, you can substitute it by closing the above screen, starting Chrome or Firefox, and then manually entering a certain URL to open it. The URL is the address displayed in blue at the bottom of the screen when "Station Information" is selected in the "Remotte Control Panel" as shown below. After that, instead of pressing the "Administrative Tools" button on the control panel every time you try to open the administrative tool, you can substitute by opening this address by specifying the URL. image.png By the way, on the station registration screen, first click "Display license agreement", check the contents, and if there are no problems, check "I accept the agreement" and email the station administrator. Enter the address and press the "Get verification code" button. Then, an email containing the verification code will be sent to the email address you entered. Enter this verification code on the screen below and click "Login to Management Tool". image.png Next, you will be prompted to name the station. The name of the station cannot be changed later, so think of an appropriate name before entering it, and press the "Registration Complete" button. image.png When the station registration is completed successfully, the following screen will be displayed. If you get any error and don't see the screen below, the first thing to check is if you're using a web browser that Limotte supports. As I wrote in "Checking your web browser" at the top of this post, I want to make sure you're using the right browser. If you still get the error, press the "Stop" button at the top of the "Remotte Control Panel" screen to restart the station, and then change the station status from "Running" to "Stop". After checking, let's start over by pressing the "Start" button again. image.png Immediately after registering the station, there is no app, so I feel a little lonely. The Limotte Station allows you to run multiple apps at the same time. For example, while running an app that collects the values of environmental sensors, it also runs an app that detects motion and recognizes the face with the camera, and at the same time runs a human sensor, voice analysis, and a security app and notification app that uses push buttons. Let's register a lot of apps on this lonely screen and have fun using it!

option

For security reasons, the station's default settings require you to enter your email address and authorization code each time you try to open the administration tool, which can be annoying if you use the administration tool frequently. You can change this setting to skip the authentication procedure. As shown below, press the menu button at the top left of the management tool screen and select "Station". image.png When the station screen is displayed, you can reduce the hassle by selecting the "Settings" tab and changing the "Authentication method" at the top. image.png When you're done, restart your station. You can restart the station on the screen where you select the "Operation" tab on the above screen, or click the "Stop" button displayed at the top of the "Remotte Control Panel" and then "Start" again. You may click the "" button. image.png image.png
