Linux (WSL) on Windows

I want to touch Linux on Windows anyway because the details are good OK if you install WSL and Ubuntu (restart required)

Installation

  1. WSL ⊞ Windows key + Pause key > Control Panel Home

Programs and functions (⊞ Windows key + R "appwiz.cpl") Enable or disable Windows features > OK by turning on the check of Windows Subsystem for Linux image.png

  1. Ubuntu Microsoft Store

Search and install with ubuntu Set username / pass appropriately in the terminal

Start-up

⊞ Windows key + R to "wsl" or "ubuntu"

** Go home **

$ cd ~
/home/ubuntu

** Go to Program Files on C drive **

$ cd /mnt/c/"Program Files"
