This article is for Code Polaris Advent Calendar 2020.
Nice to meet you, I'm Chisaki, who has been working for an IT company for 8 years. This doesn't mean that I'm particularly good at it, but I'm doing everything from programming to server maintenance like a pinch. (No experience upstream!)
A few years ago, I wanted to create an LLVM environment and created an Ubuntu environment on my laptop. This time I saw Ubuntu featured on Nikkei Linux, so I decided to create it again (it seems to be an article).
--vmware Player (VMware Workstation 16 Player, which is a free version this time) --Ubuntu iso file (this time Ubuntu 20.10)
Since the iso file is large in size, it is recommended to download it first.
You can get the Japanese version from Ubuntu Japanese Community.
Download the installer from the vmware site (https://www.vmware.com/jp.html). The installation itself is OK if you follow the flow.
You will be asked if it is commercial at the first startup, but since it will not be used for commercial purposes, select the above option here.
It's a simple content, but thank you for reading. Now that I've created a VM, I'll try various things. I may write an article again, so I hope you read it.
May 2021 be a good year for everyone ☆
