Supports JIS keyboard on Kali Linux ver2020.4

Overview

How to change the default keyboard layout of Kali Linux 2020.4 from US to JIS.

Method

  1. Enter Keyboard in the Desktop Application search window to open the Keyboard app. desktop-search.jpg Enter ** Keyboard ** in this search window.

  2. Add Japanese from Add If you open ** Keyboard ** and open ** Layout ** from the tab above, you will see a screen like this. keyboard-layout-tab.png Click ** Add ** on this screen to add ** Japanese **. Then, I think that ** Japanese ** was added under ** English (US) ** earlier.

  3. Remove English As it is, click Remove with ** English (US) ** selected. (After removing it, you can re-add it as many times as you like) Then click ** Close ** to apply the JIS layout, and I think that even users using JIS keyboards can input correctly.
