VNC connection to Ubuntu Desktop with Mac screen sharing.
Interaction
You can easily connect to VNC without any additional software. (Ubuntu Desktop already has a VNC server) When I search, everyone seems to be doing troublesome things, so I will write it.
Ubuntu side
- Settings → Sharing → Screen sharing → Password setting
- Password decryption
gsettings set org.gnome.Vino require-encryption false
Mac side
- Finder → Go → Connect to server ... → Connect with vnc: //hostname.local
- There is no need to look up the IP address.
