[LINUX] Study method that passed LPIC202

@Qiita first post

Since I passed LPIC202, I will post the study method as a memorandum. I thought I'd post it on Ping-t, but I didn't use Ping-t at all this time, so I'll post it here. * This article includes your own subjectivity, but please forgive me.

Purpose of acquisition

This is because I thought that level 2 acquisition would be essential for the knowledge required when building a server. Especially with LPIC202, I took the exam because I thought that I could acquire a wide range of knowledge about Linux servers such as Apache, BIND, Nginx, NFS, and Samba.

Learning time

About 2 weeks

Text used

・ Shiramoto (Similar questions will be asked) ・ Azuki book (used instead of a dictionary)

Main learning methods

・ Read the red bean book once and understand the atmosphere smoothly.

・ Solve the white book (In my case, I solved it all three times. In the third time, the answer rate for all units (including mock exams) was 90% to nearly 80%).

  • The first lap will be full of mistakes and it will be painful, but let's solve it without worrying about it.

  • From the second lap, read all the explanations carefully and mark important / incomprehensible parts with a highlighter pen.

(If you have any questions, go to Google, check the red bean book instead of a dictionary, and post the contents to the items you do not understand.)

  • Put a sticky note on [Reference] </ b> [Check together] </ b> in the white book, and read that part several times.

  • Let's press all the setting files that are asked for the description questions in the white book.

(You don't have to remember the detailed settings in the explanation (it's a waste of time to remember))

・ Paste the question range of LPIC202 on the notepad of your smartphone, google the unclear points, write the meaning, and read it during commuting time, break time, etc.

・ Paste the memorized items of the red bean book on the memo pad of your smartphone, google the unclear points, transfer it to the memo pad, and read it in the gap time.

・ Read the LPIC202 pass experience report and keep track of the points that are likely to be asked.

・ Let's focus on the important items marked with the highlighter pen and the parts that are mistaken many times.

・ If you have any questions, read the red bean book again, chew the meaning, and transfer it to the text.

Point 1-It takes time to understand

-At first, it is unclear from the intended use of the server, so in order to understand the outline of the question unit, let's understand "what is Samba used for and what is NFS used for?"

・ Even for detailed settings, focus on "what you use it for", check the meaning of the terms, and replace them with words that you can understand.

・ Draw a diagram to understand the whole picture

-DNS series of inquiries -netfilter routing mechanism -Email delivery method (MTA / MDA / MUA)

Point 2-Do not study out of the question range

・ Read the question range many times, and google for any unclear points.

Point 3-Read the passing experience carefully

・ The problem of poking a heavy box will appear, and the knowledge that is rumored in the passing experience will come out. -fail2ban -Glue record etc.

Finally

LPIC202 has many memorized items among LPIC qualifications and is often said to be the most difficult. I hope this article is of some help to you and you will pass.
