[LINUX] Set up a file server using samba on ZeroPi of Friendly Arm [Purchased Items]

at first

This is Qiita's first post.

I started because I felt a lack of explanation ability in my work and wanted to increase the opportunities for output for the time being.

I want to write it regularly, but it's likely that it's a Mikabozu. I'm going to take it easy.

I'm thinking of making it a finely chopped style without making it too long. This time is the purchase of parts.

Purpose of this time

I still have the opportunity to access the data on the second HDD of the first main machine that I built 10 years ago.

However,

--The boot drive is still HDD and booting is slow --I'm worried about power consumption to leave it as a server (intel i7 860) --Middle tower is a hindrance

There is a problem.

Therefore, the purpose of this time is to take out the second HDD and convert it to NAS.

... is a lie, and I just happened to settle down here for the purpose of the ZeroPi I bought for the time being, saying, "It looks cheap and interesting."

Purchased item

ZeroPi

It is a board of Friendly Elec, an SBC maker in Shenzhen, China. https://www.friendlyarm.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=266

--1Gbps LAN port --Small (40 mm square) --Cheap ($ 12.99 ≒ ¥ 1,500 for board only) --The case comes out with it, and it's cheap ($ 3)

I was attracted to it and bought it. However, since there is no graphic output, it may be a little painful unless you understand keywords such as linux, command line, ssh. I will explain it in the sequel.

See the article below for details. https://gadgetrip.jp/2019/09/friendlyelec_zeropi/ I decided to buy after seeing this article.

Peripheral equipment

Besides, I bought what I needed from time to time at amazon. Recently, there are too many manufacturers that I don't understand, so there is a problem. I think you should choose the one that is shipped and sold by Amazon.

I also use the following items as diversion items.

~~ ZeroPi's LAN is 100Mbps, so 480Mbps USB 2.0 is enough. ~~ If you look closely, you did 1 Gbps ... I mean, you didn't buy it because it's 1 Gbps in the first place ... Well, let's change it soon ...

Impressions

--I'm worried about fluctuations in the notation such as NAS and file server. ――The realforce keyboard that I just bought and didn't use much is easy to hit. --It takes time to write
