(Giri) A local government employee in his twenties works on a Rails tutorial [Introduction]

The author's current status is as the title. To reaffirm your situation and clarify your goals, start by talking to yourself! !! !!

[Premise]

・ This is a personal output memo when proceeding with the Rails tutorial (4th edition). ・ The author is a complete beginner. As you can see from the title, my current job is a job that has nothing to do with it (it may be the opposite of IT / Web), and I have graduated from an undergraduate school that has nothing to do with universities. Please forgive any mistakes or inappropriate content. ・ Although he is a beginner, he has learned all about Progate by referring to the article here, and has already completed this tutorial twice (following the teaching 9). ~ Chapter 14 is a challenge from the second lap). But honestly, I don't understand at all ... I don't feel like writing a test ... ・ This time, which is the third lap, I will work with my own hands and head as much as possible while delving into the parts that I could not understand in the past two laps. I am not familiar with the terms of information technology such as IT and the Web, so I will proceed while checking each time.

Why Rails Tutorial

・ I want to acquire the skills to live on my own ・ I want to go to the "maker side" (from a passive incumbent to an active working style) ・ I want to get a lifestyle that is not bound by time and place ・ It is IT / Web that supports the world today! I want to be able to master it too! (Easy) ⇨ Result: ** Aim to be a web engineer! ** **

... Why the Web, not IT? There seems to be plenty of work style (selfish image), and that one seems to be ** cooler **.

⇨ Action: Is it quicker to enter school? You can drive yourself. → Because you are wasting money, do what you can study for yourself. → Learn all about progate. Which language is right? → Is Rails teaching at school? If you do, enter the school after finishing the Rails tutorial. ** (← Imakoko) **

That is the situation.

Why do you want to change jobs from a (stable) civil servant?

To be clear, I want to quit my current workplace. !! I didn't feel like thinking. If anything, there are still some feelings that it is regrettable to let go of the status of a civil servant of Yasushi (and the general public) in the future. Why are you still trying to change jobs? I will sort out the reasons.

** ・ When I thought about my future career, I didn't want to continue or delve into it (a certain technical job). ** ** Is this what you want to do? ?? Do you want to continue? ?? The current situation. I got a related job from the undergraduate school, but the truth is that it doesn't look right.

** ・ The trend of the world ・ Because it has become frustrating to be in an environment left behind by cutting-edge technology. ** ** There are various types of civil servants, but at least the workplace where I work is a world unrelated to the latest technology. Every day I think that if we use more various system software, we can change the way we work and improve work efficiency. And the staff around me who are not aware of it (especially those of older generations). I wonder what it is.

** ・ Because I have been disgusted by the low aspirations cultivated by the pursuit of profits and lack of cost awareness, and the reluctance to change. ** ** It suffers from the top, but this difference (from the private sector) is surely big. Actually, I think that civil servants should aim for the most profit pursuit and cost cut for the people. To be clear, because of the lukewarm environment without restructuring, I think that aspirations will be diminished and forgotten without urgency. There are (although only a few) really helpless staff. Can I be in such an environment? ?? It's up to each person to ask for a job, but is it okay to forget (ignore) what you really want, just to forget your aspirations and earn the money to live warmly? My recent thought is that it's almost like living and dying. You will definitely regret it in the future. If so, I would like to choose a path to challenge. By the way, I remembered that there was a poem I wrote when I summarized the reasons for changing jobs in a spreadsheet, so I'm ashamed to post it.

Summary

・ Overwhelming growth! Overwhelmingly rewarding! ・ Get a job in your hand! !! ・ Doya face mac with super! ・ Challenge! To your limits! !! ・ It's world-class. There is no choice but to ride this big wave.

From the next time, we will work on it in order from Chapter 1. This time around.

Go to Chapter 1!
